Watching Movies, to me, has been more than just a visit to the Theater. Its an experience to me . Something I look forward to. Sometime its rewarding, sometime it just turns out another misadventure. But each time I look forward to the next adventure.

Went to Watch Don 2 last night with high expectations. Not one of the best
Experience I would say.
It doesn't offer you anything new. Viewers who have been following Bond Movies and who have seen Mission Impossible & Ocean Eleven Series would say that they have been there and seen that.
Despite car chases, choreographed action sequence $ Slick Look, the overall feel of the film is Slow. Plot is simple without much thrill and you are not left surprised as you were at the end of Don 1.
Moreover, scenes of Don & Roma together in the Pre-Climax is Unintentionally comical. That wasn't at all required. Din't expect this from Farhan Akhtar especially after he was part of one if the best movie of the year , Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
After the Great Ra.One Debacle SRK needed something much better.
The Dirty Picture
I would say Dirty Picture deserve 4 star. Its a Bold attempt and shud be appreciated !!
The way Vidya portrayed the role .. without any inhibitions is really something that we havent seen in long time. Although producers of the movie tried to exploit the theme of the movie for Single Screen Market ... but at the end its its all worth.
You get a true feeling on 80s cinema and the dialogues take you to Bachchan days when a simple Greeting would be soaked into jugglery of Urdu Vocab to make a maximum impact on the audience for that Paisa Wasool Feeling !!!

A R Rahman makes you love songs on the screen all over again even though Imtiyaaz Ali misses in the second half. Good performance by Ranbir Kapoor.

Watch It for A R Rahamn and Mohit Chauhan Combo !!! Especially The Intensity of the Song .. 'Aur Ho....'
Not being a critic. In fact I liked the movie. But It could have been better in the second half. I think director tried to compensate the lack of story with too many songs. You don't even realize that you have reached the climax and the movie is over.
But its worth a watch just for its Songs and Intensity of Ranbir Kapoor in those songs.

Special Effects are Childish. Screenplay is incoherent. Songs Pop up from nowhere in this so called Sci-Fi & Superhero Movie.
Total waste of Money and Time.I am not sure where exactly he spent those 150 Crores .
Being a SRK Fan .. It hurts more. !!! Feel sorry for my friends whom I suggested (read forced) to watch this one with me. 'Bodygurad , 'Ready', 'Singham'.. tortured us and now this . Bollywood seems to going back to formula movies of 80s. Its the movies like 'Delhi Belly' & 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' that keep the hopes alive.
Its not about SRK. Bollywood should never attempt at Sci-Fi & Superhero Movies if they have offer something like this. We are just good at dancing around trees . And sometime directors like Vishal Bhardwaj & Anurag Kashyap make us believe that we can do more than that. SRK marketed the movie as if he was producing 'Avatar'. I was following his promotional Interviews and he was like ...'I am taking it to next level. 'I have responsibility to do such movie'. 'We have been working on it for 5 years' ... and 'Blah Blah'.......And what he came up with was 'Chamak Challo' type movie.
True Fans are always with him if he tries 'Dil Se' , 'Swades' or 'My Name is Khan' . But this is totally not acceptable. He took everyone for granted for this one.
Waste of Time. Nothing new. Same old Bollywood stuff. Moreover title is misleading . It gives an impression of Action movie but a bore romcom. Even writing review on this is waste of time.

One of the Best movie in recent times. Probably best Bollywood movie of the year 2011. Amazing poetry by Javed Akhtar and very well recited by Farhan Akhtar.
Having being fan of Zoya Akhtar's earlier work, Luck By Chance, I was expecting more but this is more than I anticipated. Hrithik Roshan amazes you with his performance and so does Abhay Deol. The chemistry between the three lead character reminds you of Dil Chahta Hai. If that landmark movie was about friendship of three College kids , this is about the college friends who are now professionals with varied degree of success in life.

The film makes you Laugh at Farhan's antics and at the same time gets you sentimental with his poetry. It doesn't tries to be philosophical but teaches you some by the end of movie. A fresh music, an unseen Spain and the pleasant presence of Katrina Kaif adds more beauty to the movie.
A very heartfelt attempt by Zoya Akhtar. Not to be missed !!
